Suspension trainer

Adjustable straps anchored to a door, beam or rack for bodyweight rows, push-ups and core work. It packs into a small bag.

A suspension trainer is a pair of adjustable straps with handles or grips, anchored at one point above or in front of you, letting you lean into rows, push-ups, and core exercises where changing your body angle changes the difficulty instead of changing a weight stack. It packs down small enough to fit in a bag with room to spare.

For apartments, the appeal is that it needs only a single sturdy anchor point rather than a dedicated footprint, so it works with a door anchor, a rack, or an exposed ceiling beam, and stores away completely between sessions with nothing left standing in the room.

When buying, check anchor compatibility for your specific setup, whether that is a door anchor kit or a rack-mounted strap, along with strap material and stitching quality, since these bear your full bodyweight during dynamic moves. A common mistake is anchoring to a hollow door or a decorative hook instead of a rated door anchor or a stud, which risks the anchor pulling free under load.
