What we liked
- + Dual direction air resistance responds to effort for HIIT and endurance sessions.
- + Performance monitor tracks watts, RPM, speed, distance, calories and heart rate with preset interval programs.
- + Commercial-grade steel frame with a 330 lb capacity and a belt drive for quieter operation.
Trade-offs
- - At about $595 it costs much more than the old basic trainer, so it moves the pick up a price band.
- - A heavy-duty fan bike takes up floor space, so it is less compact than folding bikes.
